How about Battery 2? I haven't used it myself but people say it's a great drum synth... and if you're doing non-electronic drums you can try GrooveAgent... I've tried it a few times... saw it at one of those Steinberg demo shows... they said they took all the samples from live drum hits. And if you want something really simple use ReBirth 2.1
I'm looking for a stand alone or VST drum machine that has a step sequencer built in, kinda like Reason's ReDrum, any suggestions?
I was in search of vst drum now I think it's best for me.

A great drum machine that although origianlly developed for Linux, is still very strong on the Windows platform.
Hmmm It has support for WAV, AIFF, and AU sound files with export to midi or WAV functionality. It is pretty easy to use and also offers advanced features including unique human velocity, human time, pitch and swing functionality.
The EFM Drumkit is a different kind of a drum machine. It has four distinct modes of operation.
Twitch is an 8-pad samplebased drummachine aimed at synthesizing new drumsounds by using distortion, filter, bitcrusher and modulation. Twitch comes in two versions, one with built in samples and one that loads .wav samples.
